Custom Shutters

Think of shutters as furniture for your windows. They are an investment that will enhance the beauty of your home, yet serve as a practical covering for your windows. Whether you prefer the look of traditional 1-1/4 inch louvers or the “tropical” feel of 4-1/2 inch plantation shutters, there are an endless variety of shapes, sizes, colors, and materials to meet your needs.

Hardwood shutters are available in a wide range of standard colors. In addition, most manufacturers will also custom match any paint or stain color. Specialty shapes – such as arches, eyebrows, and circles – are available. As are the standard options of fixed or moveable louvers, raised panels, and fabric material inserts.

Composite wood shutters add the stabilizing qualities of space-age thermoplastics to the beauty of natural wood to prevent fading or warping. Solid core and wrapped vinyl shutters are another option. Composite shutters are available in an ever-increasing range of colors and textures. Vinyl shutters are available in whites and off whites.

Shutters can be customized to your particular specifications by varying the number of panels and their placement. There are also options for stationary panels, double hung shutters, as well as bi-pass and bi-fold overhead track systems.

One of the newest products is the shutter blind: a horizontal blind with wider, tapered slats that provide a “shutter look” at a substantial savings.
